Purchasing a License

Overview

This guide explains how to purchase a license for the SFTP Gateway container after your trial period ends. SFTP Gateway offers flexible licensing options with checkout backed by Stripe, allowing you to easily manage your subscription.

Before You Begin

Before purchasing a license, ensure you have:

  • An active SFTP Gateway Container deployment (trial or expired)
  • Determined the number of VM instances you need to license
  • A valid credit card for payment
  • Access to the email address associated with your account

Select a Product

Navigate to the ThornTech licensing page to view available subscription options.

  1. Go to the SFTP Gateway Container Licensing page.

  2. Review the available products. Each product tier includes different features and support levels:

    • SFTP Gateway Professional – Ideal for small to medium deployments
    • SFTP Gateway Enterprise – Full features with dedicated support

  3. Click the Subscribe button for your chosen product.

You will be redirected to the Stripe checkout page.

Configure Quantity

On the Stripe checkout page, you can adjust the number of VM instances included in your subscription.

  1. Locate the Qty (quantity) field on the checkout page.

  2. Adjust the quantity to match the number of VM instances you need to license.

    For example, if you have two SFTP Gateway containers running, set the quantity to 2.

  3. Verify that the total price reflects your selected quantity.

Complete Payment

Stripe provides a secure checkout experience for completing your purchase.

  1. Enter your email address in the provided field.

  2. Enter your credit card information:

    • Card number
    • Expiration date
    • CVC/CVV code

  3. Enter your billing address if prompted.

  4. Review your order details and click Subscribe or Pay to complete the purchase.

You will receive a confirmation email from Stripe once your payment is processed.

Receive Your License Key

After your payment is confirmed, our support team will generate and send your license key.

  • Delivery time: Within 12 hours of payment confirmation
  • Delivery method: Email to the address used during checkout

Note: If you do not receive your license key within 12 hours, please check your spam folder. If you still cannot locate it, contact our support team.

Activate Your License

Once you receive your license key, you can activate it in your SFTP Gateway container deployment.

  1. Log in to your SFTP Gateway admin interface.

  2. Navigate to Settings

  3. Enter your license key in the provided field.

  4. Click Activate to apply the license.

Your SFTP Gateway instance will now be fully licensed and operational.
